PERENNIAL RYEGRASS – Lolium perenne
Poaceae
Caespitose grass with rhizomes and numerous bundles of basal leaves, between 30 and 70cm tall.
It may last two or three years depending on the variety, climate and soil, since it prefers fertile, moist and fresh soil types.
It is not too aggressive towards other species, it may be combined with leguminous plants, especially white clover.
