ROUGH MEADOW-GRASS

This species is suitable for environments with cold winters, during which they maintain their green colour.

The plant grows slowly but it has a long life, with long stolons that release a lot of buds. It has thin leaves that form a light green turf. It tolerates shaded areas, damp soil and the cold; it adapts to all soil, including poor soil, it does not endure low cuts. It is normally used for creating ornamental lawns that are shaded and frequently used and also for rustic meadows. It may also be used for sports grounds (off-path areas and roughs on golf courses) because of its durability and colour during the summer period.
