DICHONDRA

DICHONDRA
Turf Seeds – Macrotherms
Dichondra repens:
This plant may be used as a cover because it is low, creeping, branched, with tiny rounded leaves. It resists heat well with some irrigation. It does not endure drought and it may cause some problems during the winter.
It does not endure trampling, although it endures shade very well. It tends to droop if not cut. The plant may be cut once a month to develop horizontal growth. It does not have to be cut in well-drained, sunny areas.
It forms quite a dense and elegant emerald green turf. It is used for lawns in residential areas and small flower pots in temperate zones.
